Next Move Advising
Structured thinking for the space between chapters.
Next Move Advising is a structured advisory engagement that helps high-performing individuals get clear on what they want next and make thoughtful decisions at career and life inflection points.
This work developed naturally over time.
Most of my focus has been on helping founders and leadership teams navigate growth and change inside their businesses. Along the way, a different kind of conversation kept coming up. People would reach out when they were in between chapters. Thinking about leaving. Coming off a long run. Questioning whether they wanted to keep doing the same thing that had made them successful.
These weren’t people who were stuck. They were doing well. That was part of the challenge.
From the outside, everything looked solid. Inside, something was starting to shift. Sometimes it showed up as a loss of energy. Sometimes it was a sense that they had outgrown the role. Other times it was more direct. Burnout. Changing priorities. A growing interest in something different without a clear direction.
Most of them didn’t need help finding a job. They needed help thinking.
That’s the work.
The focus isn’t on resumes, interviews, or job search tactics. It’s about stepping back and getting clear before making a move. Understanding where you actually perform best. Looking at patterns across your career. Defining what you want more of and less of in the next chapter. Exploring what paths make sense. Then shaping a clear narrative and making a decision you can stand behind.
There’s a simple structure behind it. The conversations move from clarity, to options, to evaluation, to positioning, and ultimately to decision. The goal isn’t to create more possibilities. It’s to make better choices.
For some, that leads to a new role. For others, it leads to a different kind of company. For founders, it may mean building again, operating, investing, or stepping back. The path varies. The thinking process does not.
What matters is that the decision is intentional.
The outcome isn’t just a change in role or direction. It’s being in a position where the work fits how you operate, what you value, and what you want your life to look like in the next chapter. Where success and alignment are not at odds.
Most people don’t take the time to think about this in a structured way. They react to what shows up. Sometimes that works. Often it doesn’t.
This is about taking a step back, getting clear, and then moving forward with intention.
